IENET has over 15 years in the ITS vertical, with engagements in multiple Department of Transportation agencies (DOT), applying video analytics to provide valuable data to optimize traffic management across North America. With the proliferation of self driving cars, and new technologies such as DSRC (dedicated short range communication) and V2i/V2V (vehicle to infrastructure and vehicle to vehicle), new application specific solutions are being developed by IENET to solve complex ITS needs.
The advent of these newer ITS trends is now transitioning into Smart City projects where grid and corridor management is becoming critical. IENET is currently engaged in several Smart City projects with its channel and vendor partners in piloting applications that employ analytics to automate systems for new use cases such as pedestrian crossing and wrong way detection. IENET is also growing its partner base and capability to include other technologies in support of Smart Cities including smart street lighting and improved network applications.
